A tool for creative minds, the pencil is about as simple a writing device as you can buy; but this pencil is a little, tactile piece of black and gold luxury.

These pencils are tools for the creative mind. They are produced for ease of use, and most importantly, for joy of use. Made from California incense-cedar and premium Japanese graphite, just holding one creates the urge to write, draw or just doodle.

John Steinbeck (Nobel Prize for Literature 1962) was a pencil obsessive, and used the Palomino Blackwing to write Of Mice and Men (1937), The Grapes of Wrath (1939) and East of Eden (1952). He wrote, "Yesterday, I used a [Blackwing] soft and fine, and it floated over the paper just wonderfully."

Chuck Jones loved his Palomino Blackwing 602 pencils, creating Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Wile E. Coyote, Pepé Le Pew and Porky Pig.

The Palomino Blackwing also has a cool, replaceable eraser, just in case your creativity needs a tweak.
